Speed Limits

Speed limits are made for safe driving on the roads. Some drivers think you can go five or ten miles over and still be okay. When Tina and I were in Houston, the speed limit was the speed people drove when it was raining. If it were a dry day in Houston, you went five or ten miles over. We have noticed that in Dallas, the speed limit is what the Dallasites drive on a dry day. When it is raining, the few days the DFW area gets a light rain storm, people drive five to ten miles below the speed limit. This is something that Tina and I will have a HARD time getting used to because we like to meet or exceed the speed limit in most cases.

I guess Dallas could be crowded like Los Angeles and you never get to reach the speed limit unless you are driving after Midnight.

Anyway that was my brief posting for your reading pleasure. I hope the guys out there treated their spouses nice for Valentine's Day, even though everyday should be Valentine's Day.

By the way we enjoy renting movies from RedBox, so if anybody has seen a good movie lately let us know.

Houston is one of the worst places to learn how to drive, 5 miles over is pretty slow, I wonder if you're filtering a bit for your readers - hopefully Dallas will have a positive influence on y'all!

In Doha it's simple... the speed limit is what you brake to when you see a speed limit sign - because almost always a sign is followed by a speed camera. Thankfully there's only about 20 signs/cameras in town, so we're free to keep up with the locals.
